Meet Jonice Isom, a proud Kronda supporter!

Jonice IsomJonice Isom is an LISD advocate who builds community one relationship at a time. She is a strong voice for our children and our neighborhoods. I hope you will take a minute to learn more about her and why I am so thankful to have her on Team Kronda!

Jonice lives in Carrollton today, but was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Regis Jesuit University in Business Administration, and a Masters in Business from The University of Phoenix. For 32 years, she worked at Xerox Corporation as an Executive Level Manager. During this time she worked and lived in several cities in the United States and opened an office in Canada.

Jonice volunteers her time in the children’s ministry at her church, with Samaritan’s Purse during the holidays, and is a mentor / tutor for young men and women in the community and in our LISD schools.

Jonice had the opportunity to take an early retirement and decided to pursue her passion for teaching. She worked as an adjunct professor and substituted in LISD, eventually going back to school to become a certified teacher in four subject areas. After seven years of teaching, she officially retired, yet still spends her time in our LISD schools mentoring and tutoring students on a weekly basis.

Jonice has one daughter, a teacher at Hebron High School, and two grandchildren in LISD.

“I have spent the last couple of months talking to my community about the importance of voting, and why they should vote for Kronda,” said Ms. Isom. “She has a servant’s heart which has always served our schools and our community well! She is an advocate for our students and has always put her efforts behind what’s best for them. (They know this and love her for it!). She will stand for what’s right even when it isn’t popular.”

I am grateful to Ms. Isom for her kind words, support and dedication to the campaign, the community and our school district.
